Dear Potential Employer,
.....The position I am seeking uses my many skills, education, experience, and character traits. You will find me to be hardworking and honest. Integrity and values are more important to me than money. I am therefore only asking for a working wage about fifteen percent above what my research has told me that I need to sustain my current simple lifestyle, which is currently about $16 per hour.
.....While I commit to working hard at whatever tasks are assigned to me, I have to start any new position slowly for both training and health purposes. I am, therefore, seeking a position that starts out with only 8 hours per week and slowly but steadily increases to 30 hours per week. My preference is that this gradual increase is over a 16 week period. This both acts like a probationary period for both the employer and myself and gives me ample time to allow my body the time to become accustomed to a new position without causing physical or mental burnout resulting in missed time. It is also a great opportunity for the employer to focus on training and ensure I understand the duties assigned.
.....While I only seek part-time employment, I value efficiency. My hope is, therefore, that I will be able to perform more tasks in less time as the job progresses. I have no hopes of taking over anyone's job, but will do what is best for the company as long as it includes integrity. Promotions will only be accepted if they don't require more hours or duties than I feel I can handle and if I feel that my job performance warrants one. My reason for only seeking part-time employment is to make sure I can still focus on the non-financial needs of my family. The only reason I am seeking employment at all is to be able to move to a more suitable residence for my family, since my husband also has some physical limitations, otherwise I'd be content to stay at home. An ideal job would allow me the flexibility of working from home, thus allowing me to perhaps work full-time or more.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration,
Ada M. Fitch
Ada's Personal Background
- Ada Fitch
- I grew up in a semi-broken home where there were many divorces and remarraiges. I am currently married to the only man I have ever been married to. I love him and my son dearly. I struggle with ADHD, Fibromylagia, and being one of a couple of two that wears their hearts on their sleeve. Although that will probably never change, it can be exhausting at times. We've had many people requiring help come in and out of our lives several times throughout our marriage. We are Christians and believe in helping people, though I try to be a little more practical about it than my husband. We are not the best stewards of our money, but are working on it. Mostly, we are trying to learn to have a united front on all decisions, but seem to fall short a lot. I am constantly working to improve myself educationally, spiritually, and personally. Mostly I try to rely on God to work these changes in me. Now that I have told you how human I am, now I will try to show you what skills I have and how I have developed them....
